    Grading

    BRC takes pride in our grading jobs. No job is too small or too big. We do many grading jobs for local builders; prepping for landscape and concrete surfaces. We are also involved with local land developers; grading house pads, roads, and once again prepping for concrete surfaces. We have worked on UDOT projects by providing our grading services.

    Demolition

    BRC has completed many demolition projects. We enjoy working through these demolition projects and strive to keep a clean and safe site.

  • Lot Over-Excavation

    To help prevent settling, local geo-technical experts will often require an over-ex. This involves removing, reworking, & replacing the soil materials that meet the required compaction tests, foot by foot. We can provide you with a final product that will allow you to proceed with your future building plans.

  • Dump Trucks for Hire

    We lease our dump trucks out with experienced drivers. We also provide the export and/or import of sand & gravel materials, while also providing equipment transportation.

  • Retaining Rock Walls

    Rock retaining walls are something that can become a landscape feature while still securing a hillside or creating more buildable space. We want to help you safely get the most out of your property rock by rock.

  • Swimming Pools

    Swimming pools? We can coordinate with your pool contractor to dig your swimming pool, and export all of the excess fill dirt materials.

  • Basement Digs & Backfill

    Let us make that extra square-footage possible for you. We dig basements and backfill those walls when they’re ready.

Building

  • Commercial Horizontal & Vertical Building

    BRC is experienced & capable of doing any build project that you have in mind. Whether it be hotels, office space, etc. We can do it. One of our most recent commercial builds was a 30 room lodge located here in southern Utah. We aim to provide quality construction that you can enjoy. This is our most current commercial build. (Canyon Country Lodge).

  • Founder

    Travis has been in the construction industry for 25 years. He is a B100 and E100 license holder in the State of Utah. He enjoys what he does, and is usually found working beside his employees & his son Gavin. Gavin has been operating equipment from an early age and has developed a real enthusiasm for learning good construction methods and enjoys working hard.

We have been fortunate to have a small crew of guys that don’t only look forward to their lunch breaks but also look forward to becoming better, day in and day out. They are ambitious and want to do the right thing. With this optimistic attitude we are able to problem solve and get projects done with ease.

 
 

FAQs

  • Absolutely. The owner of Black Ridge Contractors, Travis Cottam, is licensed with a B100 & E100 through the State of Utah.

  • We have recently completed work for UDOT on I-15. We provided grading and extended approximately 6-miles of shouldering. We also installed new storm water catch basins along with culvert extensions.

    We recently finished a parking lot for a new student housing at Dixie State University. This project included: demolition, storm drain, building a small retaining wall and grading for concrete & asphalt.

    Water is life. We have had the opportunity to install thousands of feet of pipe that serves as the main source of potable drinking water to different developments.

    We will soon be completing a subdivision phase in Desert Color, which can be found on the south side of Saint George, Utah. We have installed water, sewer, and are currently coordinating with the dry utility entities, ie; power, com, and gas companies. We will soon finish our final grading for the finish concrete alley ways/roadways.

  • Yes, we will coordinate all city inspections that are required by the local municipality.
